Minimum Driver Requirements
·
Must meet all
Federal Motor Carrier Guidelines.
·
Must be 24 years
of age.
·
Must have a valid
Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with proper endorsements,
issued for current state of residence.
·
A minimum of one
(1) year experience in the operation of tractor/trailer equipment or (the
equivalent with certified schooling and Halvor Lines, Inc Apprentice Training
Program).
·
Must have current
DOT physical. Medical card and Long form.
·
Shall consent in
writing to release any information on you as a CMV driver regarding alcohol
tests of .04 or greater, positive drug test results, including positive
pre-employment tests, and refusals to be tested within the preceding five (5)
years.
·
A pre-employment
drug screen is required. (Halvor Lines will not hire a prospective employee if
determined to have tested positive on the pre-employment drug test).
·
Must have
acceptable driving record.
·
Accidents: Must
have acceptable Accident record.
·
Will not hire a
person with a history of late deliveries or verified poor work history.
·
Must pass homeland
security screenings and posses /or agree
to apply for a TWIC Card.
·
Must be able to
perform the essential job duties and able to carry out and meet the physical
demands of the van or flatbed job descriptions.
