HALVOR LINES, INC. OF SUPERIOR, WISCONSIN ACQUIRES
TIMBERLINE EXPRESS, INC.
Mutually Beneficial Purchase to Strengthen, Grow family owned local carrier.
Halvor Lines, Inc., a national transportation and logistics company based
in Superior, Wisconsin, is pleased to announce that it has purchased
Timberline Express, Inc. also of Superior, Wisconsin. Timberline Express, a
family-owned business has specialized in dry freight transportation since
1982.The acquisition includes all power equipment, trailers, real estate and
inventory.
Jon Vinje, President and CEO of Halvor Lines, said, "The acquisition is

Timberline majority owner, James Mitchell, son of co-owner Grover
Mitchell, will remain with Halvor Lines in a consultant role through the
transition, and then pursue other interests. He has worked in the business
since 1985.Mike Engblom, son of the founder and co-owner Ken Engblom, and
Scott Amys, also co-owners of Timberline Express will become part of Halvor
Lines management team.
"After 20 years in the transportation industry, I’m ready to pursue other
interests. But I’ll do so knowing that, together, Halvor Lines and
Timberline Express can provide an even greater spectrum of top-quality
services to our customers and our employees," Mitchell concluded.
Initially, Both Halvor Lines, Inc. and Timberline Express, Inc. will
operate out of their own facilities. Strategies will be developed to
capitalize on the strengths of the two organizations to ensure the most
effective transition.
The combined operation will produce an operating fleet of 390 tractors
and 925 trailers offering both dry van and flatbed service to its customer
base throughout the United States and Canada.

Timberline Express is in its 25th year in
business. Today, the successful, mid-sized firm meets its clients’ needs
with an 88 truck fleet, running nationally from Superior, Wisconsin.

Brownsville, TX.
