Halvor Lines Honored for Growing the Next Generation of Transportation and Logistics Leaders

At the University of Wisconsin-Superior campus, surrounded by staff and students, Halvor Lines leaders were brought up on stage to be recognized for our dedication to creating meaningful opportunities for students and graduates.
“We are honored to receive this award, which reflects our commitment to making a difference in Superior and throughout greater Wisconsin,” said Ryan Fraley, President of Halvor Lines.
Halvor Lines was honored with the University of Wisconsin-Superior Regents Business Partnership Award.

For more than a decade, Halvor Lines has been working alongside UW-Superior’s logistics and transportation management program.
“We are grateful to work alongside UW–Superior to help students turn classroom learning into real-world experience,” said Fraley. “Together, we’re helping to shape a stronger future for our industry and our community.”
One of the most impactful results of this partnership is Halvor University, an innovative internship program designed in collaboration with UW-Superior.
Through this program, UW-Superior students spend time at Halvor Lines, rotating through multiple departments, such as logistics, safety, and dispatch to gain hands-on experience and explore career pathways in the transportation industry.
“At UW–Superior, we talk a lot about the power of collaboration-how our students, faculty, and community all benefit when we work together with dedicated industry partners,” said UW–Superior Chancellor Renée Wachter. “Halvor Lines is one of those exceptional partners whose engagement has shaped careers, inspired future leaders, and strengthened our region’s workforce for more than two decades.”
