Halvor Lines is proud of our partnerships with accredited truck driving schools and community colleges in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, and beyond. You’ll find a list of many colleges we partner with on this page.
Entry-level CDL graduates of these programs join our five-week paid OTR training program and receive one-on-one coaching and over-the-road training with experienced drivers. We offer small class sizes and paid training to help you start a new career without going into debt.

What do you need to qualify for our driver finishing program?
To apply for our driver finishing program you must be a CDL graduate from an accredited school and provide the following items to our recruiters:
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Medical Card
- Certified Birth Certificate or Passport (To attain TWIC Card)
- Social Security Card

What is included in the finishing program?
CDL graduates can look forward to working with Halvor Lines’ top truck drivers with years of experience. From extensive safety training to real-time CDL coaching, we work hard to put you in the fast lane to becoming a truck driver. We also provide a year of additional mentoring with your trainer via phone, text, or email.
Is this an online finishing school?
No. A CDL finishing school/program generally refers to training that includes behind-the-wheel instruction, which can only be done in person.
Does Halvor Lines offer entry-level jobs after graduation?
Halvor Lines is actively recruiting to fill entry-level CDL jobs in all of its divisions. The first step is our paid OTR training (also known as a finishing program). We offer a five-week finishing program for entry-level drivers who want to drive solo or in teams; we also offer a 12-week finishing program for recent CDL graduates who want to become trainers and earn additional income.
