Halvor a top company for women to work
At Halvor Lines, we’ve always prided ourselves on being a great place for women seeking trucking careers. If you are a woman interested in getting your CDL, an experienced female trucker, or working as a mechanic, dispatcher or office support specialist, we make sure you are a valued part of our team.
So we’re very proud that Women in Trucking named Halvor Lines a finalist for their 2022 Top Companies for Women to Work for in Transportation award. The honor is given annually to companies that demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting women in careers across the transportation industry.
Several of Halvor’s female employees nominated us for the award, describing us as a place where “women feel safe expressing ideas; their opinions are valued an acted on.” The nomination also recognized Halvor for promoting from within and substantially increasing the number of women in leadership positions in recent years.
The number of women truck drivers at Halvor is growing weekly, thanks to a significant number of women signing up for our Halvor Gold CDL Training program. Halvor Gold’s paid training helps you obtain your license and hit the road as a professional truck driver in just eight weeks. Some of our graduates hit the road solo. Others drive in teams – and even bring their pets along!
We’re glad that our female employees believe Halvor is a top trucking company for women. Now we’d like the rest of the word to know it, too. Voting for Women In Trucking’s 2022 Top Companies award goes through July 3. Drivers, employees and the public are invited to cast their votes at the Women In Trucking website.
