Halvor Lines Joins World’s Largest Truck Convoy

Superior-based trucking company drove to raise funds for Special Olympics MN

SUPERIOR, WISC.—In continuing its community support efforts, Halvor Lines recently participated in the World’s Largest Convoy on September 16 and 17, 2016, to benefit Special Olympics of Minnesota. The two-day event raised money and awareness for Special Olympics by bringing the trucking industry and Special Olympics athletes together in a large-scale truck convoy.

The celebration started with an Opening Ceremony at the National Sports Center/Schwan’s Event Center in Blaine, MN, followed by the convoy of participating trucks. To raise funds, each truck paid $100 to participate. The number of trucks was estimated at around 150, with vendors also raising money at the event.

“This is our second year participating, and we look forward to many more,” explained Amanda Lynch, driver recruiter at Halvor Lines. “Community involvement matters both to us as a company and to our drivers, who were more than happy to participate.”
