Teamwork pays off for Halvor Lines driver

When Halvor Lines Driver Jason A. found himself running short on his clock and struggling to maneuver his truck in a tight construction site late at night, he called Driver Services Specialist Crash Carlson for help.

Crash encouraged Jason to call the local police where Jason was, in Westbrook, Maine, – not something Jason was initially eager to do, but he followed through and ended up making a great connection. An Officer McNeil not only helped guide Jason out of the construction site’s lot, he escorted him to the local police station and invited him to park there for the night.

assistance and service. I learned that even in challenging situations, there are helpers and kindness all around us,” he wrote in a Facebook post. “Stay positive and keep moving forward.”

Contacted last week by phone, Jason added, “This is a lesson in trusting your dispatchers. With their guidance, success will come.”
