We Haul That!
You’ve probably heard the statistic: a whopping 72.2% of all goods in the U.S. spend time on a semi-truck. In fact, it’s likely that everything in your home was transported on a truck.
We decided to make a list of everything that Halvor Lines hauls. We ended up with hundreds of items, from Thanksgiving turkeys to TV sets. If someone asked about a specific item – like blue jeans, BBQ grills or basketball hoops – we’d do a little research. The answer was almost always “Yes! We Haul That!”
Obviously, we can’t list everything that made the list. So instead, here is a list of eight of the most common and/or most interesting things we’ve hauled:
The World’s Largest Rubber Duck. Yes, you read that right – when Duluth event promoter Craig Samborski has needed someone to truck his duck, Halvor Lines has been happy to haul that. Mama Duck, pictured here, is 61 feet high, 64 feet wide and weighs around 8,000 pounds. From Two Harbors, MN to Houston, TX, Mamma Duck gets a lot of attention wherever she goes. Our drivers love this load – and taking selfies during assembly, like Chris R. did in this photo.

Food. Hungry? Drivers in our refrigerated / temperature-controlled division haul everything from frozen foods to fresh vegetables. We count some of the country’s largest food companies as customers, so wherever you are in the U.S., there’s a good chance you’ve eaten food that was transported on a Halvor Lines truck.
Beverages. Our state-of-the-art trailers can be set to the specific temperature a product needs. While that often means freezing or refrigeration, it’s equally important when you want to prevent goods from freezing. If you’ve ever had a can of soda freeze in your car, you’ll understand how important this is.
Recreational equipment. Halvor Lines got its start hauling snowmobiles from Canada to the U.S. – and we’ve only expanded from there. Kayaks, motorboats, fishing and hunting equipment – if you can have fun with it, chances are good we’ve hauled it. In fact, we have a special decked van division devoted to hauling ATVs, snowmobiles and power sports equipment. You can see how that’s done in this photo of Halvor driver Kevin I. unloading a power sports vehicle.
Construction materials. Halvor Lines customers include companies that manufacture everything from countertops to ceiling tiles. We also haul windows, cabinets, doors, insulation and more. We haul docks and boat lifts, too.
Heavy machinery and industrial equipment. Drivers in Halvor’s flatbed division haul a mix of standard and specialized machinery and heavy equipment to construction and manufacturing sites across the U.S. Examples include skid steers, log loaders, excavators, generators, wood boilers, medical equipment – even car washes!
Appliances. Refrigerators? Check. Air conditioners? Check. Washers, dryers, dishwashers? Check. Check. Check. Appliances are just some of the many products handled through Halvor’s van division. This is our largest and busiest division, thanks to the versatility of dry van trailers.
A tribute to fallen heroes. Each year, Halvor Lines has the privilege of hauling The Wall That Heals, a traveling memorial to America’s fallen Vietnam veterans. It is an honor to be part of this, both for Halvor Lines and the drivers who are chosen to make these trips. We donate our services for this as part of our ongoing support Halvor Lines veterans and veterans everywhere.
